Particulate Solid Research Inc. (PSRI) is a research company focused on the advancement of particle technology (industrial processes involving powder materials). We have clients from major companies all across the globe. Our research requires that we continuously fabricate, assemble and dissemble equipment, collect data, install instrumentation, and continually evaluate safety. We work in an ever-changing environment with new challenges and technologies every day.

An independent researcher who can carry out experiments and/or simulations to understand processes involving particulates.

• Key responsibilities:
  • Design and perform experiments and/or simulations to qualify/quantify various fluidization phenomena
  • Design custom test rigs to support experimental work.
  • Collaborate with and communicate results to clients
  • Share research outputs in the form of presentations and reports
  • Contribute to the technology advancement and expansion

• Competencies and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Ph.D. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related
  • Background in particle technology and multiphase-flow preferred
  • Meticulous with data
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative
  • Independent and can work well with a team
  • Organized and detail oriented

A handy fast-learner who can make modifications to various pilot-scale rigs and carry out tests on the units.

  • Build/modify custom test rigs to support experimental work.
  • Carry out non-routine tests involving particles
  • Contribute to the technology advancement and expansion

• Competencies and Qualifications:
  
  • Lab experience or related
  • Welding, electrical, mechanical experience would be pluses
  • Self-motivated and takes initiative
  • Independent and can work well with a team
  • Attention to detail and driven to advance skillset
